Series 8:08 promotes the creative development of professional Canadian dance artists. By building a strong sense of artistic community, we help foster knowledgeable and appreciative audiences for new dance.
We offer innovative professional development workshops to professional dance artists, taught by established dance professionals. These are opportunities to explore alternative techniques and practices, as well as the creative visions and processes of diverse dance artists.
The Choreographic Performance Workshops or CPWs are showings of short works-in-progress by professional dance artists. Join us every month from September to February to discover new Canadian dance in the making.
This is an 8-month residency for two to four selected artists in partnership with Dovehouse Dance Ballroom and two other studios. The selected choreographers will work with Resident Outside eyes and show their work at the end of season CPW.
This workshop supports participants to discover the wisdom of their bodies as well as to connect with the curiosity and awe that initiates and inspires movement.
